Rados history in watch making begins in 1917 in the small Swiss town of Lengnau, as the Schlup & Co Clockwork Factory in 1957 the company became Rado, and the first collection of watches was released under the Rado Brand. Innovation and technology have been the backbone of the Rado watches, with the first scratch proof watch being introduced in 1962, this has been just the beginning of many high-tech developments to be embraced by the brand. The use of specialist Ceramics was introduced in the 1980s and is now part of the brand unique identity.
